Iluka has approval to construct a rare earths refinery in Western Australia, known as the Eneabba rare earths refinery project.

The site is located approximately 10km south of the Eneabba townsite on Brand Highway, 265km north of Perth and 155km south of Geraldton.

The refinery will process rare earth mineral concentrate produced on-site as well as concentrate from Iluka’s Australian mining operations and third parties. It will employ cracking, leaching, and purification (CLP) techniques, along with product finishing processes, to produce various rare earth products.
