Iluka collects personal information we consider necessary for operating our business. For example, personal information is collected and used for the marketing of our business, managing occupational health and safety issues and recruitment of employees.

Information Collected When Browsing Our Website

In our website, we may ask you to provide user information or to participate in surveys. Information is collected in the manner explained below:

When you visit our website, our web server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:

  • Your server address
  • Your top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc)
  • The date and time of your visit to the site
  • The pages you accessed and documents downloaded
  • The previous site you have visited
  • The type of browser you are using.

This information is only analysed on a bulk basis for broad demographic content. Individual use is not analysed.

If you complete an online application form, we collect only the information contained in that application form if you submit the form to us. If you log out of the web site or cancel the application prior to submitting the form, the information is automatically deleted.

We will only record your e-mail address if you send us a message.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to an individual's hard drive for record keeping purposes. The cookie assigns you an identification number, which allows Iluka to recognise you when you return to the web site. Iluka uses "cookies" to deliver content specific to your interests so users do not have to register each time they use the web site.

We may also disclose your personal information to service providers in relation to which we outsource some of our important administrative functions. Where appropriate, these disclosures are subject to privacy and confidentiality protections. The organisations to which we outsource services include share registry services, mailing services, and information technology services.

We endeavour to keep the personal information we collect, use and disclose accurate and complete and up-to-date. If your personal information changes, or if you believe our records are not accurate, please contact our Privacy Officer (details below) and we will take steps to update and correct the information held on our records.

Access

You have a right to access your personal information, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know by sending an email to privacy@iluka.com. We may charge an administrative fee for searching for and providing access to your information.
